  1. Maximalism, as a design trend, embraces the use of patterns and incorporates multiple designs into a cohesive form or object.
  2. While some instances of maximalism exhibit a clear and intentional arrangement, others embrace the idea of randomness and lack of specific meaning.
  3. The essence of maximalism lies in filling the gaps and creating a visually rich and cluttered composition. The resulting object or form encompasses a plethora of elements that either support its intended meaning or contribute to its distinctiveness.
  4. A visual representation of maximalism can evoke the sensation of multiple cracks on a transparent glass, obscuring the view that once passed through it. The cracks can take various forms, unrestricted by predefined patterns.
  5. Another example reminiscent of maximalism is akin to doodling on a plain white sheet. Initially, it may seem nonsensical, but it serves as a visual manifestation of a stream of thoughts and ideas. The final product is often obscured or takes on sporadic forms throughout the sheet.

In summary, maximalism as a design trend embraces the amalgamation of diverse elements, patterns, and textures into a cohesive whole, resulting in visually captivating compositions that may or may not convey a clear message or purpose.

  1. As I examine these designs, a wave of nostalgia washes over me, transporting me back to the vibrant era of the 90s.
  2. It was a time when video games soared in popularity, accompanied by the emergence of flashy, eye-catching title logos that heralded the arrival of something new and exciting.
  3. The choice of colors in these designs reflects the practicality of the era, where printing in full color was often an expensive luxury. The use of vivid hues ensures that even when printed on a simple sheet of paper, the logo stands out and remains easily recognizable.
  4. These designs share several consistent elements that contribute to their unique aesthetic. The circular orbit symbolizes a sense of movement and progress, while the inclusion of stars in various forms represents the allure of something shiny, novel, and filled with anticipation. Additionally, the typeface with its curved edges deviates from the classic pointy serif fonts of old, evoking a departure from tradition and a departure from the conventional notions of trust and medieval aesthetics.

Psychedelic Design

  1. Presumptive from its first word the design is indeed based on the experiences a human achieves from psychedelic drugs.
  2. In layman terms the style is wavy. It can include any kind of body parts with it along with the respective typefaces.
  3. This type of design has gotten really popular during the 2019 most of which has been reflected during the 2020 year where many albums picked up the style of their banners, though the style has been very much in use since the 1980s or probably way before that.
  4. The typeface in this case of design are mostly custom made.
  5. One more easy definition of the design can be that it looks like a very weird dream.
  6. It can contain many kinds of element which the presenter might want to be displayed in their poster. Hence it very dynamic in nature. Though by saying that pulling off a good balanced design can be a task and needs practice to achieve such perfection.
